Meet Christopher, a promising young African American Senior at Greenville High School in Virginia Beach, Va. Every parent would want their child to resemble and achieve the things that Christopher has, but in the environment that he is in he is considered a lame and a soft target for being so accomplished. After being targeted by instigators and bullies, Christopher realized that the only way for him to survive was to stop being himself. He disowned his family and took the streets in as his second home. Christopher now known as Shrimp couldn’t get enough of the fame and respect he now receives after getting a taste of gang violence and his first intimate encounters with females. Shrimp is eventually warned of the path he was going down by the only person who could reach him, his best friend Stretch, but he too was overtaken by the attention that he received from being affiliated with Shrimp. Shrimp is shown the ropes of the street life by Bam but it is hard for him to relate because he is not built for that type of lifestyle. Shrimps crew handshakes stop matching their smiles and everyone’s loyalty is questioned. He becomes the sheep amongst wolves and takes matters into his own hands to reclaim his reputation. Some things in life are just meant to be taken to the grave. Follow Shrimp as he tries to find his balance between faith, family, friends and his own reality.
