Heart to Heart

Heart to Heart is a love story of music and the individuals it affects. Sharon’s soul was music and her quest was to become a concert pianist. As Ray Charles said, I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys…my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was necessary for me-like food or water. As it was for Sharon, but she was caught in the cultural attitudes of the early 1960’s. Her obstacles were enormous. No college funds, no parental support. Even though her dream was often at a low ebb, she believed in herself and struggled to find a way. Also there were two young men in her life that presented a conflict. Joel, her love for many years wanted marriage and her at his side. Craig, a composer who wanted her love and her soul that was music. One by one her obstacles were resolved and Sharon found peace, only to have tragedy strike at the very core of her life. Music is tangible. It heals, it makes the heart swell with emotion. Music takes Sharon on a journey, physically and emotionally. Nietzsche graces us with these words. In music the passions enjoy themselves. They truly enjoy themselves in Heart to Heart.
