Niscene E'terrall used to fear the darkness. Now, she serves it. In the darkness, I bind my service. To Death, I pledge my fealty. For generations, the world has told stories of hooded devils and shadowy figures who spread death and destruction throughout the land, who change the course of kingdoms with a word or blade or sorcery. Stories of the servants of Death Herself. Having spoken the words of their Oath, Niscene now must travel to the great capital city of Ramodin where she is to take her first life on the night of the full moon. Disguised as a pleasure mistress of the Midnight Court - where noble and ignoble alike come to satisfy their deepest desires - Niscene bides her time while delivering pain - and pleasure - to the woman whose life she is meant to take, all the while arousing strange, new passions within herself. But Niscene spoke the Oath. And the full moon is only days away… Will she fulfill her mission - or give into her newly awakened desires?
