Tales from the Silver State is an anthology of short fiction featuring some of the most talented authors from Southern Nevada. Beyond the glamour, glitz and glitter of the neon metropolis that is Las Vegas lies a thriving community that many established and emerging writers call home. Within that community lies a phenomenon known as the Las Vegas Writers Group. It was the vision of the late Jay MacLarty, author of a series of thrillers published by Simon & Shuster. Jay envisioned a place where writers could come together to learn from one another and support each other as they practiced their craft. The more than 300 members were invited to submit stories for this anthology with the best being selected to appear in these pages. These are their tales.
