The first hours of the new world war destroyed cities across the globe and brought darkness to the British Isle. With modern infrastructure gone and no help on the horizon, the English city of Linnetsford-upon-Lune stands at a turning point: will the city turn to chaos, choose order above all, or become something else entirely?

Perhaps the answer lies in a growing faction known as Linnetsburg. This community and militia is formed amidst the youth of the city’s universities and founded by none other than a young American who, being versed in both the lessons of history and the power of lies, leads disparate individuals in the spirit of common cause.
