Adopting an older child has its own challenges. The first two years after being born are crucial to the rest of a child’s life. This book is to tell you our story and encourage you as a parent or parents who are raising a child with mental problems. Be more aggressive. We were not. We trusted the counselors and physicians to know how to help us. We knew what we were doing wasn’t solving our son’s issues, but not sure what we needed to do different or who else to go to.
