The Matriarch: Tale of the Degeli Witches

For forty years there was silence. For forty years their Magick remained dormant. Azzurra and her family were at peace. What they thought was a truce, made all those years ago, was veiled by evil just below the surface. Without warning, Azzurra’s niece is attacked, omens abound, and Azzurra fights Magick with Magick. But she can’t fight alone. She breaks the Witch’s vow and summons her sister, Katie, back from the dead. The truce is broken, and the Degeli family is in desperate danger.
Azzurra believes she knows who is behind the attack, but Katie cautions her. Death, after all, brings a certain type of understanding. Together, Katie and Basil, the handsome Wand Spirit, convince Azzurra to have trust in the Vicar Aiden Sinclair and to follow him without question. But, within the church, Father Bernardo and Augusto feel that something is wrong. Why are Vicars and Higher Spirits involved with a family of Witches? Something more powerful is interested in this family feud. As this Italian family bickers and exchanges idle threats, comforted by cannoli, biscotti and each other, they wait with a gnawing premonition of dread. The Degeli family must take up their wands, sachets & elixirs, spirits and enchanted objects, if they hope to survive another old-fashioned Witches War.
