Mirrored Water

This is a tale of an incredible friendship between a little girl and fascinating sea creatures, full of adventure and suspense. After arriving to visit her uncle in a southern tropical town, the main protagonist befriends exotic animals who are typically considered very unfriendly towards people. But, to her surprise, the little girl discovers that she and her new friends have much more in common than one would have thought. The girl develops a particularly strong bond with a little shark, and the two are amazed by how much alike they are. The adventures and the experiences the characters share bring them and their families even closer together. Through humor and whimsy the author explores the dynamics of family and interpersonal relationships in humans and animals and ultimately calls us to be kinder to one another and to protect nature, our common habitat.
