The Beauty of Aqua

All Upton knows is his very limited view of the world which has limited his hope for happiness. Raised on Cape Cod he has given up on finding a better life and has settled for being a townie. He wants for little more than to ride his motorcycle and to have a good meal; neither of which often happens. But one day he meets a kindred spirit and they find that together they are greater than the sum of their parts. Together they find happiness and the strength to endure in their struggle for the same. Set in 1985 The Beauty of Aqua is an exploration into what makes for a good life today and how we hope we will be remembered after we die. It is also an exploration into the foods and everyday life in Central Vietnam and in particular the City of Da Nang.
