It is our prayer that it will help you in many areas in your walk with the Lord. It is our vision that this book be used for your morning devotional time with the Lord. We see people up early in the morning with their cup of coffee, reading these short devotionals and then reflecting on the Word. Just spending quiet time alone with the Lord to reflect on His Word. As we began to think about the design of the book, the vision of a calla lily came to mind. Then we found some information about the meaning of a calla lily and what it represents. It has been depicted with the Virgin Mary or an Angel of Annunciation similar to the visitation of the angel Gabriel to Mary as shared in Luke 1:26-38. In Greek, the name calla lily is the word for beautiful. The most common meaning is purity, holiness, and faithfulness and that is how we determined the name of Holiness, Faith & Purity, A 30-Day Devotional. As many may know, the calla lily is a popular flower used during the time we celebrate the resurrection of Christ. It is used as a symbol for rebirth and resurrection, which is tied to the resurrection of Jesus because they are shaped like trumpets which symbolize triumph and victory. When we are in Christ Jesus, we are victorious and triumphant in all things. There is a place after each entry for you to reflect on the Word. The oil lamp on the reflection page serves to remind us that God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path (Psalms 119:105). Prayerfully, this devotional will serve to shine light into any dark areas in our lives.
