When Kathy L. Patrick lost her job as a publisher’s rep, she took that lemon and made margaritas. She opened Beauty and the Book, the world’s only combination beauty salon/bookstore. Soon after that whirlwind success, Kathy founded the Pulpwood Queens of East Texas, a book club that became a nationwide phenomenon almost overnight.
