Lt. Michael Cotter’s best friend, David, was just killed by a stray mortar round in a battle in Afghanistan. When a series of bizarre events drive Michael to travel back to London. He is confronted with random multiple deaths that begin to form a pattern. A pattern that is related to his dead friend. He uncovers David’s religious secret that hinges on the history of the Church of England. Michael’s search brings in his brother and cousin to help solve a riddle that will have disastrous consequences if not successful. As Michael, Steve, and Elizabeth begin their quest to return what is rightfully a sacred relic in the Anglican church, they are confronted by an ancient mysterious guild of a wicked society that thrive on living in the darkness of shadows and forests. This guild will forever be destined on destroying what is so precious and venerated by the church due to an old revengeful hatred. Soon Michael must decide who is his friend and who is his foe. As the fate of the church begins to rise even higher, the ancient evil recruits additional outside forces to assist in their conquest to acquire the relic. Michael stays one step ahead of the guild to bring the relic home. We follow two timelines in history that race towards each other to reach a climatic end, as we discover the secrets of the relic and a special raven named Caesar.
