The first installment of a science-fiction series, Dreams of Glass: A Mystery introduces us to a far-away world that is both mighty and fragile, which must come face-to-face with a history most of its inhabitants know nothing about. The book centers on a few pivotal days in life of chief inspector Ronald Addha, who is a conflicted man - highly accomplished in his career yet unfocused and overwhelmed in his personal life. He is nearly finished with a historic investigation of a conspiracy that involves the great Lord Sage, one of the most influential founders of his world and, despite strong evidence of his guilt, he feels compelled to defend him. Meanwhile, during his research, he becomes captivated with a strange story about a lost boy from another world in another time.
