The Whispers of Wenatchee: A Collection of Natural Expression

On the East side of the Cascade Mountains in Washington state, there lies a decently sized community of people not too well known beyond the state’s boundaries. Although some may not expect too much from such a small dot on the map, Wenatchee, and by extension the Greater Wenatchee Area, is a wellspring of creativity and interesting characters. This collection was made with the purpose of showcasing the various expressions that’ve found themselves tucked away in this valley. Short stories, poetry, and all the unclassified in-between constitutes this collection. Both fiction and non-fiction, no predetermined theme, just a compilation of what the people naturally produce. This collection features English and Spanish, all variations of creed, spanning diverse occupations and life experiences, and when read through provides the nearest thing to an inner look at this community as possible. A look at the hearts and minds of the people in this one small place at this one small moment in time.
