Devastated by the ending of a relationship, desperately unhappy in an unfulfilling job, feeling lost and purposeless, I found myself at a crossroads. Following the guidance of a gentle voice deep within me, I made the scariest decision I’d ever made: I quit my job, sold my house, embarked on a cross-country road trip. In my travels I visited old friends, made new ones, spent time with family, visited ten national parks, and reveled in the beauty and majesty of the American West. Along the way, I faced my darkest memories and fears, uncovered beliefs and behaviors that hadn’t served me, and little by little, learned to listen to the gentle voice inside me, the voice that urged me to always-trust my step.
