Letters written by an upstate New York farm family record their World War II experience. A bomber pilot in the Pacific, an Aviation Cadet in training, a young father and his wife, a single working mother, a newlywed, a son left to manage the farm, a teen age daughter, their mother and father - all tell the story of the war through their eyes. The book covers the time from the oldest son’s Navy enlistment in 1942 to the war’s end in 1945.
