The Sea, Volume 12: Biological-Physical Interactions in the Sea

As oceanography has matured, the previously separate interests of chemical, biological and physical oceanographers have converged. This set consists of two volumes that reflect the change in attitude in oceanography to a solid interdisciplinary approach. Volume 10, Processes a nd Methods , and volume 11, Regional Studies and Syntheses , present a systematic and integrated treatment of coastal oceanography. They deal with many of those aspects of oceanography that most impact human activity: biological productivity and fisheries, currents and shipping, tidal behaviour, sediments and silting, waves and air/sea interactions.
