The Stars Above Us

Years had passed since the rigors of high school. Blair, having accepted a life of darkness and despair, had finally found some semblance of happiness before she graduated. She made close and lasting friendships, created fond memories and struggled together through the tough times with them. They were there for her and she for them. The only thing she couldn't have was a relationship with a man. The Fates had shown here that would not happen and so she spent her years pining over a love she could only experience for herself but never grasp or share with another. As Blair began to mature and begin her adult life she moved to the city to find work and become independent. She needed the distraction of a full and regular life to pour herself into. She needed work and responsibility, friends and a nightlife just to get past what was denied her each moment she tried for a relationship.

And now she was to watch her friends walk the aisle and say their vows to one another. To see other people's happiness in a long and lasting love. It hurt her emotionally and with these emotions swirling inside her she acted out. Made choices that saw her in the arms of a man. An enigma, living life seemingly outside the tight grip of the Fates. He showed Blair what it was to be happy, to be remembered the next morning.

But would the Fates allow Blair to fall from their grasp as well.
