Creme and Caramel are two friendly guinea pigs living happily in a pretty garden behind a pink house at 44 Daisy Street. Here they sit gobbling on grass and munching on carrots as they ponder the Mysteries of Life, Love, the Universe and Everything.
While their owners the Rogers family are away on their summer holidays, Wendy the Housesitter comes to stay. One evening a giant thunderstorm rolls in. Worried that the guinea pigs might be frightened of the thunder or that they might catch a chill with their little bottoms sitting in the wet grass down in their cage, Wendy brings them upstairs to the big house and sets them up in the Laundry Basket Hotel for the evening. Here about to settle into a cosy night of luxury with flat screen TV and all you can eat room service buffet the two guinea pigs suddenly find themselves plunged into a night of death defying adventure when Ty the household pussycat arrives home looking for his dinner and comes across these two unexpected little house guests far from the safety of their wire cage
‘Hmm’ says that marauding Moggie Come to papa
The two guinea pigs find themselves staring into the jaws of almost certain death. The pair need to stand strong in the face of grave danger, think fast on their quaking trembly little legs , dig deep to draw on courage they didn’t know they had and use all their nouse in order to order to outwit their enemy and live to tell the tale ………
This story has a message of positive empowerment and plentiful rewards for two plucky little creatures with positive ‘can do’ spirits
