Creme and Caramel are two cool, friendly guinea pigs who live happily in the back garden at 44 Daisy Street. Here they sit gobbling grass and munching on carrots all day long as they ponder the mysteries of Life, Love, the Universe and Everything. When their owners, the Rogers family, go away on their overseas holiday for the summer, Wendy the house-sitter comes to stay. One evening a giant thunderstorm rolls in. Worried that the guinea pigs, stuck outside in their cage, might be frightened by the loud crackling thunder or that they might even catch a chill with their little bottoms sitting in the wet grass, Wendy decides to bring them upstairs where they will be safe and warm and dry and treats them to an evening at the Laundry Basket Hotel. Here, revelling in their new surrounds and living it up in the lap of luxury, complete with flat screen TV and ‘all you can eat room service buffet’ the two guinea pigs settle in for the evening suddenly find themselves plunged into an unexpected night of death defying adventure…When Ty the marauding Moggie arrives home looking for his dinner and comes across these two unexpected little house guests far from the safety of their home and decides he might like a little guinea pig as a starter The two guinea pigs find themselves staring into the jaws of almost certain death. The pair need to stand strong in the face of grave danger, think fast, dig deep to draw on courage they didn’t know they had and use all their nouse in order to order to outwit their enemy and live to tell the tale ………

This funny warm engaging little David and Goliath story will not only warm the heart of readers and listeners young and old but it encourages children to realize they can stand strong and say NO to bullying and offers kids encouragement and resources to help then reach out for the support they might need in order to stay safe.
