From a land & Mining Engineering graduate in 1962, Warren Lindsay Whaling’s life story has gone from surveying in the Snowy Mountains to major civil engineering projects as Company Surveyor, Engineering and Project Manager throughout the East Coast of Australia, then to focusing on new technologies for water storage and onto major bridge constructions. For a further twenty years, he was a Senior Manager and Director for civil and building construction and insurance industries. He was also an advisor and arbitrator for contract, construction and employment law.
In 1985, Lindsay and his wife Sandra established Sandalyn Estate vineyards and cellar door in the Hunter Valley.
