Lismore Lady

A cozy crime which centres on the police investigation when the body of a young woman is found alongside a country road, with no obvious cause of death and no immediate means of identification.The local police use the term ‘Lismore Lady’ to temporarily identify the woman but their investigation is more complicated when testing of the dead woman’s fingerprints suggests she was actually a Bulgarian national who had been arrested in the USA many years before, but could not find any record of her ever leaving the USA or arriving in Australia.To add to their confusion, the medical examination reveals that the cause of death was drowning, in sea water, and the closest ocean is twenty kilometres away.Their investigation of this perplexing mystery takes the police to Lismore, Grafton, Coffs Harbor, Tweed Heads and other parts of the Northern Rivers region of Australia.
