Sophie is the oldest member of the Hope Springs Gang at 17 - that's about 85 in human years. Sophie likes sleeping (a lot), being picked up and telling all the other dogs off! In fact, one of Sophie's nicknames is Grumble because she often grumbles at the other dogs (and the Dogparents).

Sophie was the first dog that the Dog Mother and Father adopted. She was displaced when huge floods engulfed Queensland and as her owner could not be found, she needed to be rehomed.

This tale describes what the experience might have been like for Sophie and perhaps provides an explanation as to why Sophie is sometimes so grumpy!
