This is a story of sacrifice, love, war, loss, deceit, family and hardship in the Southern African Cape Colony, Eastern Frontier in 1838. Jane Taylor and Dr Robert Armstrong were immediately attracted to one another. They fell in love, married and had a son. They made a life in the small remote town of Cradock.
