Perry and Perky on a Mission is a storybook with picture puzzles to solve and colour. It is Book 3 in the series about the fun-filled adventures of Perry, a resourceful pygmy-possum, and his friend Perky, an adventurous quokka. In it, Perry and Perky continue their adventures, enjoying life and making a difference whenever and wherever they can.
It contains five short stories (with subtle life lessons) and twelve picture puzzles created by Diane Anchen to suit the stories. Children will have hours of fun solving and colouring the puzzles, and there is a jigsaw puzzle template to photocopy in case they want to turn their completed pictures into jigsaw puzzles. The delightful cover design on the paperback has been painted in watercolours by Wally Anchen who has been a graphic artist all his working life. Overview: In this book, Perry and Perky travel to the future in a time machine and learn about the future of quokkas, attend a birthday party where they solve the problems for a frazzled mother rabbit, thwart the plans of a train guard who is intent on robbing the train’s safe, meet up with a couple of common-myna birds who can’t be trusted to tell the truth, and party with their friends at a beach glowing with ‘sea sparkle’.
