Leila James was abandoned by her parents as a young child. She was left on a railway station platform in Western Queensland, Australia, with nothing but the clothes on her back. Discovered the next morning by the station master, she was taken to the local Convent where she lived until the age of fourteen. The trials and hardships she faced there, and throughout the rest of her life, after she ‘hopped over the hedge’ and went out into the world, are truly inspiring, and are a testament to the strength of the will and the loving care of the God who saves.
