At 2:13 pm on March 15th, 1839, the sun and stars were stolen from the sky, leaving behind only the endless Dark. That was bad enough. Then we discovered that there were things of horror and nightmare out there, and those who spend time in the Dark sometimes come back different, with strange powers but less humanity. The Dark Corrupts...and sometimes it Corrupts absolutely.
Dark Vigil is a tabletop roleplaying game about a group of Venturers: people bold or crazy or desperate (or all three) enough to leave the safety of a town's Great Lantern in search of answers, supplies, power or fortune. In a Victorian-era, post apocalyptic and light-less world where the sun and stars have disappeared, you risk your possessions, your life and your very humanity in order to achieve your goals. You will face off against horrific entities, mutated beasts, insane cultists, and your own fears made real.
In Dark Vigil, temptation is always at hand. Will you give into temptation, letting Corruption in to enable your survival but risking your humanity? Or will you cling to your humanity and risk your life instead?
This 80pg book contains:
a complete adventure, able to stand alone or as the start to a longer campaign the basic rules for a game of Dark Vigil four pre-generated Venturers a blank character sheet for you to create your own Venturer.
