Visual Graphic Novel with one page of text and 120 black and white drawings. Created in collaboration over two years by Australian anti war artist George Gittoes and Ukrainian artist Ave Libertatemaveamor between March 2022 and July 2023. It is a visual response by both artists to the invasion and following war in Ukraine with strong elements of satire. The Kiss of Death refers to the sexual relationship between Vladimir Putin and Alina Kabaeva, described as Russian's most flexible woman after Olympic medals for Rhythmic Gymnastics. This Graphic Novel aims to help build support for ending the war. It was created parallel with the Feature Documentaries 'Ukrainistan, Artist War' and 'Ukraine Guernica, Art Not War' and which are Gittoes Films Productions. The process of drawing the pages in the Bombed House of Culture , Irpin is documented in the films. The story starts with the Invasion , then the impact on the civilian population , moving to Putin and his megalomania and sexual perversion , the search for the mythical needle which is hoped can destroy him , the treat of nuclear war and apocalypse for the Planet.
