She left the UK for Sydney with sojourns in Borneo, met the Kalash people in Pakistan, and spent time in Turkey, Ireland and many other intriguing places. Her love life was as varied as her travels. No regrets but is saddened for having caused pain to her family, including her ex-husband whom she still feels very deeply for and knows that he remains supportive when the 'shit hits the fan!'

They scrapped its hull somewhere near Piraeus. Saying goodbye to a life I had known for my first fifteen years was distressing, and yet exciting. Cloaked in bunting, a rainbow paper ceiling swayed over the hustling bustling crowds of family, friends and - me.
