The continuing adventures of Nicole Delvine D. Nicole faces a court-martial, is sentenced, and is incarcerated in a military prison in Scotland. She enters a state of deep transcendental meditation in her prison cell. The prison authorities are concerned for her welfare because she is not eating. Queen Katrina visits her in an effort to get her to eat. After her death, Nicole creates a tropical paradise in Hell where she seems to be just relaxing and doing nothing more than releasing souls to their further afterlife. Eventually, she returns to her resurrected human body and sets out on a quest for revenge against those who removed her diplomatic immunity and those who had her killed. Along the way, family, friends, and enemies discover that she wasn't just meditating in her prison cell but visiting other worlds, building a fleet of space vehicles, and her own private island in the Pacific Ocean. Nicole's problems with President Franklin persist and go completely out of control. But Nicole realizes it is not all Leonard's fault and she eventually deals with those who are really behind all the problems. Justine, Rosalyn, and Janine have their babies as does Queen Katrina. Justine decides to divorce Leonard and asks Nicole to help her get an annulment of the marriage from the Vatican. Nicole travels to the Galaxy of Fire to try and put a final stop to the war between the cephalopods and the humanoids of that galaxy.
