Some say he's still out there
One thousand years ago in the city of Libalele, magic was declared a crime, and the magician Iwizadi was imprisoned by his brother Umwahu for his magic power. He outlived Umwahu and escaped from his cell, but by that time there was no magic left in the city or its people. Iwizadi disappeared with his secret book, and nobody knows what happened to him next...
Others say he's just a character in a fairytale
The birds tell the Khun that the war in their homeland is over. After all the years of destruction and greed, nobody knows why the war for Noi is suddenly stopping now. There are worrying signs of magic in places where it should not be, and many Khun have gone missing. Those that remain have to hurry back to reclaim their land before they lose it again to someone else.
Nobody knows why he vanished
Aisling and her dad Peter have lost their home too, and live with a small community of Khun. Growing up, she learns that magic is more than just a fairytale, and some people keep their true intentions hidden. The more she learns about the world, the more she feels like her life is not hers to control. And even though she has Iwizadi to guide her, she doesn't know where they are going.
