The main protagonist, Nathan is 11 years old and likes playing Fortnite, eating pizza and spending time with his friends. His life changes when his English gamer-friend, Thomas, asks him to look for a treasure buried in the garden. Things are not what they seem to be, and soon Nathan's adventures begin.
Young readers will enjoy the many twists and turns' in the story. It has a happy ending and provides a subtle message about the dangers inherent in making friends with strangers. Nathan learns a lot of valuable lessons and his relationship with his step-sister, who is 19, grows stronger.
