Daisy Barton’s dream is to write a life-changing book. She is moved by the desire to touch the heart of her readers. Her father isn’t supporting her passion for writing. He thinks she needs to stop chasing her dream and find a job that pays the bills. Daisy is heartbroken by her father’s coldness. She believes if her mother were alive, she would have encouraged her.

Daisy starts writing a book about her uncle, Harry Barton who threw himself onto an exploding grenade to save his fellow comrade in the Afghanistan war. While doing research for her book she uncovers the secret her father had been hiding. Everything she believes in is shattered. It takes her a long time to recover and continue writing. Daisy gets her heart’s desire when her book comes out. At the book launch event, she catches a glance of the person whose surprise appearance is enough to make tears spring into her eyes.
