Set on a farm in Tasmania, Creaky’s Bend is a week in the life of two possums and a mouse, who call the farm shed home. Poppy the mouse has constructed a warm bed, nestled in the seat of a broken-down Chevrolet truck. Blue and Bell have built their dry home in a vintage blue stroller that hangs on the shed wall, right beside Poppy’s truck. Together the three little animals eagerly watch the daily visitors to Nanny Joy, the spritely silver haired great grandmother, who is 80 years old and not slowing down one bit. Nanna’s driveway is so very long, bending around Creaky the gum tree, past the cow paddock and up to the front door of her lovely old brick house. You can follow along with Poppy, Blue and Bell, and be guessing just who is coming around Creaky’s Bend, and why they are visiting the farm. Little blue wrens are on the pages, waiting to be spotted. As the week comes to an end, it is time to guess who is arriving around the bend, and it isn’t who we expect.
