Nepomuk wakes up in a strange place. Millions upon millions of people around him are drawn towards a river, but Nepomuk is not like the others. After figuring out that he is in fact dead, he refuses to move on without his wife. Not knowing how long he would have to wait and how to find her, he rebuilds their bakery from memory as a beacon. This little wonky bakery shop attracts a congregation of deceased who revel in the seemingly endless possibilities that this desert plain offers. Nepomuk begins to understand that Paradise and Hell are separated only by the life that has shaped them, but will he find his wife amongst the dead?
