One high school party. That's all I wanted.

Here was the plan:

sneak out to a party by lying to my parents about going to my best friend's house. Dance for a few hours. Go back home, and no one is any wiser.

Here's what wasn't planned.

Seven minutes in heaven with a gorgeous growly guy who hates me. Getting attacked by evil demons that my kind hunt for a living. Being buried alive by my best friend. Getting busted and grounded on the eve of turning eighteen.

It was just one stupid party. All the fault of the guy with the enormous black wings carrying the sword of light.
