Este libro sugiere que:

1) en el mito hebreo, Adan y Eva eran una pareja de homininos, como cualquiera de los antepasados humanos que hemos descubierto ultimamente;

2) los hebreos tenian una idea mucho mas sofisticada y realista de la evolucion de lo que se cree en la actualidad y ello explica muchos puntos de la Biblia que parecian inexplicables hasta ahora;

3) la innovacion del concepto griego del espiritu (psyche) introducido por San Pablo al interpretar el Libro del Genesis resulto en una autopercepcion del individuo que cambio para siempre el rumbo de la historia, ya que al reinterpretar o tergiversar la Tanaj, San Pablo espiritualizo y separo al ser humano del resto del reino animal.
