From the heartfelt pen of bestselling Australian author KB Eliza, Orphic Wonder is an invitation into the raw landscapes of pain, heartbreak, joy, love and the alchemy of healing. This collection, featuring evocative poetry, reflective thoughts, and spiritual prose, is designed to be your daily companion for introspection, presented in a unique page-a-day format.
Celebrating the feminine spirit, Orphic Wonder explores the conundrum of being human while sprinkling a hint of the hidden depths of existence.
From the Author;
Welcome to this new collection of poems.
This poetry book is different from others. It doesn't have structured sections or themes. You can open it at any page, anytime, and find a message that resonates with you.
I wanted to keep my old familiar love of opening a page a day; and picking a random piece. Over the years I have found joy in opening books to a page in any order and finding a message.
The poems are a mixed bag, from the nostalgia of childhood, the wonder of frogs falling from the sky and the experience of facing the many messy, painful and joyful moments in life. As well as living a life of metaphysical enquiry punctuated by the curious debacle of mortality looming and neurodiversity.
Heartbreak, grief and mortality are facets of life we all experience and as I put them together I noticed a theme of the feminine and faith underpinning many of them. May you find one, sit with it and feel it deep in your bones, you may see yourself within the words.
As Maya Angelou said, "We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike."
