Upon a diagnosis of heart disease, diabetes or cancer, a person would be inundated with support, sympathy and love. Correct? Why then is there a judgement on illnesses diagnosed like bipolar, depression or any other mental health condition? Usually exacerbated by trauma, mental illness is the imbalance of naturally occurring chemicals in the brain. Fortunately, it is manageable and treatable!

Childhood is often not the fertile place for growth and security, but instead a place of fear and invalidation. This often leads a person to be hyper sensitive to their environment and question their self-worth.
