Letters Out of Africa was written to tell the amazing story of my friend, Shadrach Gonqueh’s journey through a civil war in Liberia and then coming to America as a refugee to be trained as a doctor. It is a story of courage and perseverance in the face of severe adversity. But more, it is the story of God working through ordinary people to accomplish an extraordinary outcome. I am Suzanne Montgomery and I am honored to be a part of Shadrach’s journey. So join me in a modern-day story of miracles. Everything in the book is true and confirmed by Shadrach himself. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated for relief efforts to help the Liberian people recover from the civil war.
