Percival: Priscilla’s Baby Brother, a book of colorful textural images, is based on the author’s observations and experience bringing a new baby into her own family. An only child herself, the author was often surprised and amused to observe the expectations vs the reality of a new sibling in the house. The child waiting at home for a new friend to move in and play is often faced with a crying, pooping demand for his mother’s time and attention. The author hopes that this book can ease the transition and prepare the child for the stages of infancy and eventual fruition of his dream for a new friend in the house.
