Hailiorea

Jason Sworn is a difficult man in a difficult world. Born in the not too distant future, he lives in a time of struggle, upheaval and global conflict. Often tormented between feelings of helplessness and an uncanny sense of justice, Jason’s actions and reactions often become his worst enemy. After a brutal act of vengeance against a group of his peers, he finds himself trapped in a hellish mental institution with little hope for freedom. Elsewhere, off the western coast of what was once the United States of America, a new surfaced state sized island fights to grow as one of the world’s last free countries. Although skeptical and hopeless, Jason wonders what life would be like on the small nation. Eventually, his path leads to knowledge that not everyone or everything is as it seems. He begins to learn what it means to be human and what it means to be hailiorea. This is the first book in the Hailiorea series.
