It is important to arouse each student’s curiosity by presenting mathematics in fresh and stimulating ways that are captivating and motivating. The ideas presented in this book are designed to help students become powerful mathematics thinkers and to help them make sense out of mathematics. Based on the NCTM Standards and NCTM’s new Focal Points, we have emphasized Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis and Probability. We have provided objectives, materials, procedures, and solutions to the entries.
