Lars has it all: a crummy one bedroom apartment in Boston, a nonexistent family life, a severe drinking problem, uncontrollable nervous ticks, and a desperate need to belong. He’s a loner, a boozer, and a loser. Everything has gone wrong with his life ever since the death of his mother, when he was eight. Everything, that is, until he meets Dorothy, an aspiring model from his home state of Vermont. Desperately trying to grasp for something, he falls head over heels with her within only hours. This is the story of one sad, pathetic man who makes new discoveries and uncovers things that he didn’t think possible.
