Collateral damage includes Sandspur’s most well-known and loneliest resident, Julie Kitzmiller; Sean Keogh, its prettiest, and ugliest; and Elaine’s adopted and terribly scarred son, John, who finds some real joy as his family loses its fair, and its livelihood.
