Shala was dealt a bad hand from day one. From losing her mother and father at a young age to falling in love with a stranger. Shale continues to receive one blow after another while trying to hold onto the few good things in her life.

Michael, the love of her life, tries to comfort her through all the chaos happening around her while worrying if his brother will make good on his threat to harm her.

Shala on the other hand starts to believe that nothing around her is what it appears to be yet soon finds out that what her aunt used to say to her is true….. Everything is always what it seems.
