How Mommy and Daddy Became Santa’s Helpers

Soon, boys and girls around the world were waiting for his gifts on Christmas Eve. Santa opened more workshops, and his elves worked harder and harder to make all the wanted toys. Even the cranky gnomes helped. Yet the list kept growing. Eventually, Santa needed more sleighs, more drivers, and more reindeer for all the deliveries. Mrs. Claus, the elves, the gnomes, and a few flying moose pitched in, but not without mishaps-the tightness of some chimneys causing one. The breaking point finally came: too many presents to make and not enough sleighs to deliver them. (Amazon didn’t exist yet.) We’ll just have to cancel Christmas! a rather lazy elf declared. But wise Mrs. Claus had a better idea.
