Who gets to define Christianity in Protestant America today? Is the United States a Christian nation? What is the responsibility of the individual Christian to the larger world? Honest Christianity for America Today: Affirming Faith Through Action is an attempt to answer these and other pressing questions for Americans in a very turbulent and confusing age. Honest Christianity explains that it’s not just what you believe but how you believe that matters. It gives biblical justification for positive Christian engagement in the world, addresses racism in America and affirms that Black lives should matter. It addresses Christian living in a time of pandemic, and distinguishes the teachings of the Gospel from the many false gods, doctrines and unexamined cultural platitudes that claim authority for American Christians today. Honest Christianity will both challenge and inspire the reader to ponder how they can deepen their Christian faith both inwardly and by putting faith into action in the world.
