The Breadcrumbs Curriculum is a unique, comprehensive Social-Emotional Curriculum designed for children between the ages of 4-7. The two most distinguishing features of the Breadcrumbs Curriculum is its emphasis on the role of the heart and heart-center breathing in emotional self-regulation, and its use of the ancient Labyrinth as a tool for calming, centering, self-soothing and integrating new material. While the Breadcrumbs Curriculum dovetails beautifully with Montessori principles, it is suitable for both public and private early-educational settings as well as home-schooling.

The curriculum is divided into five Units with a total of 20 Lessons, designed to be introduced over the course of and academic calendar year. Ideally the lessons will be conducted with groups of 12 or fewer students. The teacher is provided with an introduction to each lesson which sets the stage and explains the importance of ensuing activities. The carefully selected stories, songs, exercises, activities, discussions, reflection questions and Journal entries build upon and reinforce one another, weaving a coherent fabric as the curriculum progresses.
