Tribal Law: Restoration

Marcus and Zephora have overcome so much since the day Marcus proposed to her. They had multiple wedding attempts interrupted, both of them have been kidnapped and both overcame attempts on their lives; and through it all, their love has remained strong and true. Now, on the threshold of the second happiest day of their young lives, the first being the day they finally got married, dark clouds are moving in above them bent on blotting out the sun on their monumental day. Zephora’s father, Zuri, who has fought and won many battles, today has lost his toughest fight, he has succumbed to cancer; and she, after learning of this, and after just giving birth to twins, lay motionless on her bed, barely clinging to life. Was the stress of her father dying and the difficult birth of her children to much for Zephora’s heart; or, was it the totality of all she has had to endure since saying yes to Marcus? Either way, with every beat of her loving heart getting slower and slower, the precious light that is Zephora, the queen, the wife, the daughter, and the new mother, is gradually fading out. No matter the reason, no matter the cost, Marcus will never give up on the love of his life, on his beloved Zephora; or, on the life he has long dreamed of sharing with her and their newborn children.
